Underground system “City” Installation:

The underground collection container system is easy to install. H&G’s underground systems have a foundation container made of hot-dip galvanised steel with a capacity of either 650 or 1000 litres, depending on customer wishes and/or requirements.

In accordance with requirements/regulations, a foundation pit must be excavated for the foundation container. If possible, the ground at the location should slope away from the system.

A base course of gravel is laid on a stable subgrade in the foundation pit. The City’s foundation container is set into the foundation pit and then aligned appropriately. The spaces at the sides of the foundation container are to be filled with layers of material that allows good drainage, which is then compacted. The surrounding surface is to be returned to its normal state, in accordance with the specifications.
