Sustainability is firmly anchored in H&G’s corporate values and is a matter close to the heart of owner Bernd Henrich. H&G has been certified as a climate-neutral company since 2023. Our climate neutrality further underscores our commitment to continuously improving our own sustainability performance.

We are committed to this development. With our own climate neutrality, we are consistently pursuing the goal of becoming more sustainable every year and further reducing our greenhouse gas emissions. To this end, we have assessed our entire business activities and are offsetting our carbon footprint by actively supporting climate protection projects.

How H&G contributes to environmental protection
Screw compactors
Our screw compactors ensure higher filling weights thanks to their efficient compaction. The result: half as many disposal trips, a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions, and optimized logistics processes.
MobiPress
MobiPress combines the sustainability advantages of the screw compactor with a plug-and-play principle for the installation variants, enabling flexible and variable use in waste disposal logistics for waste disposal companies.
Underground waste collection systems
Barrier-free, liquid-tight, and hygienic: H&G’s underground collection container systems contribute to the sustainable development of urban areas, improve quality of life, and reduce the number of waste disposal trips thanks to their high filling volumes.
Renewable energies
In our production, we pay attention to the sustainable use of resources. Our photovoltaic system, together with our combined heat and power plant, produces 590,000 kW/h. This covers around 60% of our own electricity needs. The rest is sourced from green electricity.
For the good of the environment

Our three bee colonies on our company site comprise 100,000 bees. With around 45 kg of honey per year, they are particularly grateful for their home on our premises.

In the forest area near our home region, we have sponsored 5,000 new English oaks and are supporting the reforestation project in the Siegerland region.

Supporting sports and community
Exercise and a sense of community are important drivers that define sports clubs. These attributes are important for a healthy society, which is why we support local clubs such as SG Hickengrund in their important work.
Donations to food banks
No one should be deprived of basic necessities. That is why we have been donating regularly to the local food bank in the Burbach region for several years.

The International Justice Mission (IJM) is committed to combating slavery and violence against people worldwide. We actively support the organization’s work with donations.
