We are fully committed to this principle. Our certified climate neutrality reflects a consistent effort to become more sustainable year after year and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. We’ve assessed all of our business activities and offset our carbon footprint by supporting international climate protection projects.

Sustainable Business:
Environmentally Friendly Production at H&G
Screw compactors
Our screw compactors ensure efficient compression, resulting in higher container fill levels. The outcome: 50% fewer collection trips, 50% less CO₂ emissions, and optimized logistics.
MobiPress
MobiPress combines the environmental advantages of the screw compactor with plug-and-play flexibility. This enables waste management providers to adapt quickly and efficiently to changing logistical needs.
Underground container collection systems
Barrier-free, liquid-tight, and hygienic – our underground systems support sustainable urban development, enhance quality of life, and reduce the number of collection trips thanks to their large capacities.
Renewable Energy:
In our production facilities, we prioritize resource efficiency. Our photovoltaic system and combined heat and power plant generate 590,000 kWh annually, covering about 60% of our electricity needs. The remainder is sourced from certified green energy.
Protecting the Environment:
Ecological Sustainability in Our Region
Bee Colonies
Our three on-site bee colonies – totaling around 100,000 bees – produce approximately 45 kg of honey annually, thriving in their new home.
Tree Sponsorship
We’ve sponsored the planting of 5,000 English oaks in the nearby forest region as part of a reforestation initiative in the Siegerland area.

We believe movement and social connection are vital for a healthy society. That’s why we support local sports clubs like SG Hickengrund in their valuable community work.
Food Bank Donations:
Everyone deserves access to basic needs. For years, we’ve regularly donated to the local food bank in the Burbach region.
Protecting Human Rights:
We actively support the International Justice Mission (IJM), an organization fighting slavery and violence around the world, through regular donations.
