FROM BURBACH TO THE WORLD

Richard Serra

New York

The internationally renowned New York artist and sculptor Richard Serra (1938 – 2024), whose large-scale sculptures and steel objects can be seen around the world, collaborated with H&G Steelforming for over 10 years. He appreciated the precise, high-quality realization of his sculptures. In September 2020, the tenth Serra sculpture, “Le Bourget,” was completed in the Steelforming production.

In working with steel, we have continuously expanded our spatial approach and creatively explored new paths – not least thanks to the inspiring personality of Richard Serra.

Thomas Röthel

Ansbach

For the southern German artist and sculptor Thomas Röthel, H&G Steelforming also manufactures minimalistic sculptures in solid steel which create the appearance of floating, despite their enormous weight and material. Since the beginning of 2015, over thirty Röthel sculptures have been created in the production halls of H&G Steelforming in Burbach – expansive works of art that form the perfect symbiosis between technical finesse and fantasy, between industrial expertise and artistry, between steel manufacturing and sensitivity.
